Fall Visit with Sis and Daughter

Well, I am pretty much in heaven right now, visiting with my sister and family and then we are off to Dickinson College's parents' weekend and see my daughter for the first time since we dropped her off.

She sounds like she has a cold, so we will probably bring a boatload of medicine for her to take. I told her to will it away, because that's how get rid of colds.

She's going to be thrilled because we are bringing UGG boots and a North Face jacket. Our little Arizona girl thinks it's cold already. Wonder what she will think in February!

Thanks to Dwight's (Gettingraphic) comment last week, I asked husband Bill if I could stay and visit with my sister a few extra days and he was more than happy to be rid of me for a few days. I think he did appreciate not be surprised at a later time.

It's beautiful here. The leaves are all turning colors and the air feels crisp. This is the way Fall should be. Time to go....yeah.

Oh that sounds like a fun weekend. Enjoy seeing your kid again, I bet she's really looking forward to seeing you (even if she pretends she isn't!).

Hey, there's nothing like getting away from HOT AZ and visiting family, both alive and those who have passed on. My wife Jenny and I drove to LA, our first stop was Mt. Sini Mortuary where my parents, grandparents and uncle are all buried. Each of these people were (and remain) a major influence in my life and who I am today, I miss them most every day. I had not been back to the cemetery since my mom passed on some 15 years ago and was anxious and uptight about doing this. Well Jenny insisted, we went and it was a totally positive and moving experience. Good vibes and good happy energy, don't underestimate or be afraid of this experience.

We next visited and spent some time with my favorite aunt and other family members who are all getting up there in years (like all mid 80 somethings). Seeing everyone was wonderful and uplifting for all of us, just a great time. Never let precious moments be skipped with people you love who are still around, they will not be here forever. And also, never forget those who have passed on, they are still with us in some cosmic and spiritual way.

Glad you could get away to see your daughter. Believe it or not my daughter has been wearing her uggs for the past month. Yes, any day that dipped below 90 degrees. These Arizona girls have no clue.

I grew up in a small town on the water in Maryland and everyday i would look out my window and see how different the leaves looked. That is my favorite season :)
