Now, I am known for taking the worst pictures in the world. It has been a big family joke for as long as I can remember. I have bought great joy and laughter to my children through my my uncanny skills in turning a perfectly normal picture into a major debacle. (You are welcome!)
This weekend was no exception. I thought I might share with you some of the special pictures from the weekend's events before I permanently delete them from the thumb drive. But, I must tell you, there were some really strange things happening at these events and I think you would have made these types of expressions, too, if you had been in my shoes. Take for example, at the dinner we held in my backyard (in case you cannot figure out which one I am,,,,I am unfortunately not the adorable woman with the dark brown hair and sweet smile.....I'm in the white top):
Everyone was having a really nice time but there was this one guest at the end of table that couldn't keep his big mouth shut.....I was trying to get his attention and show my displeasure:
After awhile, he calmed down, thank goodness. And I couldn't believe that President Obama showed up for another one of his backyard chats. Did he really have to wear that stupid-looking hat?

For dessert, we had a delicious cake made by Tammie Coe Cakes but when the server asked if I wanted a fourth piece of cake, I had to look disgusted and say NO, like I had never eaten four pieces of cake in one sitting! Right?!
I could go on and on and on! One after the other. It's comical how bad these photos can be. I think out of the 280-some pictures he took that weekend, one or two are okay.
It's a funny thing about photographs. Some models are just okay looking but take amazing photographs. Some people always seem to have red eyes in photographs, some people look relaxed, and some people look seriously deranged in their photos. Well, for all those people in that last category (LIKE ME), be kind to us. We are trying to look good. We don't want to mess up each and every family shot. It just happens.
It's funny how some people just seem to have that, er... gift, when it comes to photography.
ReplyDeleteI can take three thousand shots of the kids and maybe have one turn out. Thank god for digital cameras.
