Aloha Friday: Easter Candy

Aloha Friday is hear, once again, so sit back and relax and answer my simple question of the day. Here is what the Island Life ladies say:

"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to
the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.
Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a
lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question
on your blog".

This week the theme is Easter and since I have a sweet tooth today , my question is: "What is your favorite Easter Candy"?

Now peeps are cute and fun, and chocolate bunnies are decadent, my all-time favorite are the jelly beans! I like the regular flavored ones, not the ones like broccoli beans and pomegranate beans and coconut beans. They can be disappointing and downright gross. I love orange jelly beans the best.

I remember when the kids were around, we had bowls of jelly beans placed all around the house. Now there are none. Until tonight when I go grocery shopping.

Is your mouth watering yet?!

  3. Mine is and you'd better stop throwing candy in my face!

It's weird, I'll only buy/eat jelly beans around Easter, never anytime else. No candy for me this year.

  6. Anything chocolate that's not a cheap generic label brand or hollow inside, works for me. Dove, Ghirardelli, the richer and more calories the better.

Now, since Passover usually coincides with Easter, I like to alternate and go for a giant sheet of Matzo with butter, salt and jelly, to break the chocolate frenzy.

Of course I'm no longer a kid, watching my weight and don't do this sort of thing anymore (or any less)....

  7. Sour jelly beans - the absolute best. My daughter and I ate a whole box of them and they never made the easter baskets!

  8. White chocolate bunnies. This used to be the only time of year you could get white chocolate and I SOOOO love it.

  9. I have to say my fav's are Reese's peanut butter eggs. Now I spent Easter in Mexico so I did not get any this year. I might head over to Circle K right now and buy one.
